Oskar Fischinger Inspired Abstract Animation

Project Requirements:

  1. At least 30 seconds of animation
  2. Shapes and colors should be "timed" to the music
  3. Use impact of shape and color to match the impact of the music
  4. Use tweens and effects to create the animation in FLASH

Project Expectations:

Shape Tweens

    1. Add a shape to the first frame of layer 1
    2. CONVERT TO SYMBOL (GRAPHIC)
    3. On frame X of the same layer, add the same shape
    4. Alter the shape's color, size, position, and distortion (distort, envelope, skew)
    5. Create a SHAPE TWEEN between frame 1 and 30
    6. This will create a SHAPE TWEEN

    Effects

    1. Create a shape on the first frame of layer 1
    2. CONVERT TO SYMBOL (MOVIE CLIP)
    3. On frame X of the same layer, add the same shape
    4. Add an PROPERTY EFFECT (STYLE or FILTER)
    5. Create a CLASSIC TWEEN between frame 1 and 30
    6. This will create an EFFECT through CLASSIC TWEEN

    Other Tips

    1. To create a "loop" the first and last frame of the animation need to be exactly the same
    2. You can copy the first frame and past it at the end, then add a TWEEN between
    3. Or, before you add your TWEENS; INSERT KEYFRAME multiple times and then TWEEN
