Comm Art Unit 1A

Part 1 of your project will be to redesign an existing logo. Here are the steps:

• Find a Logo for a Fortune 500 Company or recognizable brand 
• Using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator redesign this logo with your personal "spin" or style

1. Start with a thumbnail sketch on paper 
2. Show this to your instructor 
3. Begin planning on a blank Adobe Photoshop file or Adobe Illustrator 
4. Complete your redesign 
5. Use shapes, color schemes, gradients, etc. 
6. Think about typography and graphic symbols
7. Look at other logos in the same field or industry 
8. Make sure to match your color to the typography and graphic symbols
9. Create at least two different versions of the same logo 
10. Think about placement and proportion (such as a vertical and horizontal version)
